Welcome to my blog site! My name is Michael Yuan. I am a technologist, author, and open source advocate based in Austin, Texas. I currently work for a startup company called eZee. We specialize in creating end-to-end consumer applications for mobile phones. Before eZee, I worked as a product manager and open source developer at the JBoss division of Red Hat Inc.
I am the author (or lead author) of 5 books on software development, as well as more than 40 articles on leading technology journals and magazines. Here are the books I wrote:

Besides software, my passions are traveling, photography, and astronomy. Actually, I love astronomy so much that I got myself a Ph.D. degree in Astrophysics from the University of Texas at Austin.
