Seam NetBeans Plugin Updated

Petr Pisl has released the 0.2 version of the Seam NetBeans plugin (man, he is so conservative with version numbers! ;)). It works with Seam 1.2.1 GA (w/ deployment to JBoss AS 4.0.5 GA). Petr has also fixed a few Windows bugs. It is essentially the same plugin we demonstrated at JavaOne. Please visit here for a quick tutorial on how to use the plugin.

Eclipse users: stayed tuned! The Red Hat Developer Studio with full Seam support is just around the corner! It will be worth the wait!

Will RHDS support exploded deployment as MyEclipse currently does (eliminated need for Ant scripts)?
If Not… Will the plugin be able to be added into MyEclipse as a normal plugin?

Too bad it is broken in NetBeans 5.5.1. I have filed an issue report…we will see what happens.

Sorry for the alarm. It in fact does work in NetBeans 5.5.1. The problem is that it doesn’t work when used with an H2 database. This is actually a problem in Hibernate, not in this plugin. Why must Hibernate be such a PITA about H2?!? It is so much better than HSQLDB!
