I tried to get Yahoo Go but it adamantly refuses to send the app to me on my Nokia 9300, which is an "unsupported" phone....

Here's my comment about your comparison between the two though. You mention that you like Yahoo Go better because it does so many things in one application, while Google Maps does not.

However, I think in one sense this is a strength of google, not a weakness. Just like in its Search web site, google FOCUSES on one functionality and does not try to cram everything into one application.

When I use my mobile apps, I tend to want them to act as "widgets", where each app does one thing really well...In that sense, Google Maps is pretty ok, since it focuses exclusively on mapping. By trying to cram too much into one app, Yahoo may run the risk of making it too complicated or even unstable.
